Qi Gong is a contemporary artist known for her quiet observation and profound reflection. Though she is reserved in her verbal expression in daily life, she has found a more tender and nuanced voice through her artistic creations. Qi’s works often focus on social events, presented in an indirect and poetic manner that invites viewers to pause and contemplate the hidden stories behind her art. She favours a diverse range of media, particularly everyday objects, a choice that reflects her attention to the overlooked aspects of daily life. For Gong Qi, art and life are inseparable; her creations frequently uncover the truths of life, exploring the layers beneath the surface of events or human behaviour. In recent years, her work has shifted towards a more personal exploration, delving into themes of memory and emotion, allowing viewers to experience a subtle and intimate emotional connection through her pieces.
Zheng YUAN 袁正 b. 1994

Zheng YUAN graduated with a Master’s degree in Textiles from the Royal College of Art and is one of the visual artists behind the works featured in the coronation concert for the King of the United Kingdom. His artistic practice mainly revolves around mixed media sculpture and visual art. He explores topics such as artificial intelligence, botany, mythology, and Posthumanism. Working with artificial intelligence as a creative tool, Yuan conceived, collaborated on and co-constructed a series of visual works that consider the human condition in a Posthumanist world and that exist in a decentralized state. His reflections on science, observations of nature and exploration of questions of human existence, have enabled him to construct a series of speculative landscapes in his artistic projects.
Yu Yang 杨宇 b. 1988

Yu Yang, a graduate in Textiles from the Royal College of Art, is the founder and director of Studio Yu Yang. He is also a textile designer at Gainsborough in the UK, a guest lecturer at the Royal College of Art, and a lecturer in textile design at the China Academy of Art. With extensive experience in interior, fashion, and product design, Yu Yang excels in merging cutting-edge international perspectives with Chinese cultural elements, skilfully blending art, culture, and regional styles into practical applications.
Gloria Xiaochen Ge
Gloria Xiaochen Ge, a mixed media artist and painter from a culturally rich region of China, blends Han, Tibetan, and Muslim influences. She specialises in Maximalist patterns and digital installations, exploring Eastern and Western painting, nature, and Buddhist philosophy through multi-dimensional works.
Jingyi Li 李婧怡 b. 1999

Jingyi Li (b. Beijing, China) is a London-based artist who aims to create feminist spaces through her work, with a particular focus on the stories of Asian women. She uses a variety of soft materials to evoke intense emotions, aspiring to communicate emotions, histories and experiences by unlocking the potential of atypical materials and techniques.
She received a Bachelor of Art (Crafts Arts, Fibre) from Tsinghua University , Beijing and is completing her Master of Fine Arts (Jewellery and Metal) at the Royal College of Art, London. Her work has gained widespread recognition in the international art community and has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums worldwide, including Galerie Marzee in the Netherlands, Season Gallery in the UK, and Galerie Joseph in Paris.
Xiaoli Xue 薛晓立 b. 2000

ISATO (Xiaoli Xue), born in 2000, is a contemporary artist who skillfully fuses technology and art, rapidly gaining recognition for her deep philosophical reflections and distinctive artistic vision. Her artistic practice spans across painting, performance, video, installation, and printmaking. Her creative philosophy centers on unveiling profound wisdom and emotions within everyday life, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary. ISATO’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in E-commerce and Electronic Information Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and a Master’s degree in Painting from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London.
Ying Zheng 郑颖 b. 1999

Ying Zheng (b.1999) is a London-based ceramic artist and sculptor from China. Her practices
based on sculpture, delve into human nature and human emotions. She completed her BA
from the Central Academy of Fine Art in China (2017-2021) and just graduated with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art (2022-2023), United Kingdom. She also studied for the BA Design program at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden(2020).
Recently selected exhibitions include: Shortlisted artist for the 26th Biennale Internationale de Vallauris in France; Cluster Craft Fair, London Craft Week 2024; Ruup&Form Gallery, London Art Fair 2024; Battersea Design District, London Design Festival 2023 etc.
Xinrui Tao 陶心蕊

Xinrui Tao is currently studying Public Art Design at East China Normal University. She observes the Earth from the perspective of an ‘alien’, constructing a vivid red cosmos in her mind—a world brimming with fantasy and utopian poetry. For Tao, art serves as a crucial bridge for dialogue with the world. She believes that everything in daily life can be a source of inspiration, though she prefers to view and perceive these elements from a detached, otherworldly perspective. The red cosmos she envisions is not only a vibrant visual space but also a reflection of her inner world, filled with a yearning for beauty, harmony, and freedom.
Haoxin Liu 刘昊欣

Haoxin Liu is a designer based in London, currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Goldsmiths, University of London. She has studied both Design and Computer Arts at the same institution, demonstrating her profound expertise and diverse skills in interdisciplinary creation. Liu’s work blends new media design, graphic design, creative coding, and game design, exploring complex and significant concepts such as power, identity, and gender through these varied methods. Her creative inspiration is deeply influenced by personal experiences, reflecting her unique insights and reflections on society, power, gender, and bias.
Visually innovative and rich in its exploration of contemporary social issues, Liu’s work has begun to make a mark in London’s art and design scene, gradually establishing her distinct artistic style and voice.
Mengran Zhu 朱梦然 b.1998

Mengran Zhu, born in 1998, graduated in Visual Communication from Shandong University of Art and Design and currently resides and works in Shanghai, China. She is a game character concept artist and virtual human designer with extensive creative experience and a solid artistic foundation. Her work primarily focuses on game character design and virtual human design, striving to integrate her artistic concepts and style into digital art.
Zhu has excelled in the field of digital art, receiving accolades such as the GGAC Chronicle Outstanding Creation Award and a finalist position in the GGAC 5th Competition for ‘Eastern Civilisation Fantasia’, highlighting her exceptional performance and innovation on digital art platforms. Her creative inspiration often draws from Eastern culture and fantasy worlds, which she builds upon to develop a unique artistic style. Zhu’s ambition is to fully realise her artistic vision and creativity, creating virtual worlds that resonate deeply and emotionally. Her work not only showcases her technical prowess in character design but also reflects her profound insights and unique perspectives on the future development of game art.
Ty & Goee & Ayoposi

Ty is an artist based at Goldsmiths, University of London. Having lived a nomadic lifestyle, she has developed a heightened sensitivity to her surroundings and the people she encounters, connecting with diverse classes and cultures. Ty focuses on exploring the relationship between individual and collective consciousness, as well as the connection between collective consciousness and higher-dimensional spiritual realms. Her work skilfully integrates concepts and elements of religious spirituality to enhance collective awareness, strengthen connections between individuals, and convey energies of love and healing to society.
Tianyuan Zhang 张恬远 b.1997

Tianyuan Zhang currently lives and works in London, where she is pursuing an MPhil/PhD in Art and Computational Technology at Goldsmiths, University of London. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Soochow University and a Master’s degree in Virtual and Augmented Reality from Goldsmiths. As an artist and XR developer, Zhang focuses on integrating fabric with human movement, particularly in innovative explorations of tactile experiences. Her work combines human-computer interaction and storytelling, unifying visual, musical, and tactile interactions to create a series of human-centric interactive art pieces.
Huichuan Wang 绘川 b.1999

Huichuan Wang(ekawa) is a computational artist, visual designer, illustrator, and curator who graduated in 2021 from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with BA degree, Currently, she is a second-year student in the Computational Arts MFA program at Goldsmiths.
Her portfolio spans diverse mediums, including mixed-material paintings on paper, installations, and real-time code computations. As an illustrator, her work is often from a sensitive female perspective, full of flowing consciousness, warm temperature and imagination. Merging her fine art background with computational technology, her work delves into themes of life, biology, and the natural sciences, drawing inspiration from nature’s laws and forms. She integrates programming languages into art, crafting pieces that showcase her unique visual style and a keen sense of vibrant vitality.
Her works have been exhibited in cities such as Paris, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu. During her engagements with various exhibitions, she also fulfills the responsibilities of visual designer and curator.
Ningyue Qian 钱宁越 b.1999

Ningyue Qian (钱宁越) lives and works in London, graduated with first class honours in sculpture from Shanghai University College of Fine Arts as an undergraduate, and is currently studying MA sculpture 23-24 at the Royal College of Art.
“Cooking is always with me, which gives me an unfamiliar sense of relief.”
As a Chinese expatriate living in London, Ningyue’s feelings of difference brought about by geographic shuttling have reshaped her fundamental understanding of the concepts of body, identity and nation.
With regard to the initial questions raised by the geographical location of the body, Ningyue turns her attention to the cooking culture and the absorption process of oesophageal digestion in her hometown of Ningbo, China. The body serves as the driving force, the affects of appeasement are kneaded and baked into the dough. The affects of the unconscious habitus gradually expand, calcify, fragment and flow at will, and Ningyue uses dough as a medium to provoke reflection on the body’s suspension in power relations.
